Unique Laser Courses Set Benchmark

The Laser Therapy Centre is a registered training organisation (90874) that offers unique light-based therapy courses designed to give health and beauty professionals a competitive edge.

Our nationally recognised training programs set benchmarks for professionals wanting to use laser, pulsed light and other light-based devices safely and effectively.

Unlike some other laser/pulsed light courses offered in Australia, the three qualifications we deliver are recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), which regulates qualifications issued in the higher education, vocational education and training and schools sectors.

Which means that suitably qualified health and beauty professionals can obtain a nationally recognised laser/pulsed light qualification in:
  • Hair removal
  • Vascular, wrinkle, scar and pigmentation treatments (including tattoo removal)
  • Photo rejuvenation
  • Laser integrative medicine using acu-point techniques for the treatment of
    dermatological and muscular- skeletal conditions.

VET Quality Framework

All three courses are accredited under the Vocational and Education Training Framework. Certificates recognised throughout Australia and internationally are awarded to individuals who successfully complete our courses.

Our graduates are eligible to join the Australian Association for Laser Therapy (AALT), which has joined forces with the World Association for Laser Therapy (WALT) and the Florence-based International Academy for Laser Medicine and Surgery to promote light-based therapies.

Very Important Point

Beware of imitators. Our initial LASER therapy and pulsed light short courses were accredited in 2003, making them the first courses of their type accredited under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

Our generic curriculum suits all LASER/pulsed light systems and covers laser/pulsed light WHS, laser science, physics, tissue interaction, clinical applications, optimum parameters, hands-on training, etc.

The Laser Therapy Centre awards a nationally recognised qualification on completion of all the required units or competency or a statement of attainment for completion of one or more units of competency.

The qualifications and statements of attainment are recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework and can be used to provide credit standing in any tertiary studies you may wish to undertake in the future.
