Laser Therapy Centre, together with Natural Medi-Solutions and the Pain and Injury Acupuncture Herbal Centre, operate at two locations in Sydney, Australia's largest city.

Our highly qualified team of practitioners and lecturers, led by light-based therapy expert Meikin Li Rees, specialises in treating a wide variety of health conditions, particularly those that Western medicine may not help.

Other lecturers include the Chief Executive Officer, Philip Rees, a laser therapist and holder of a Diploma in Training Assessment Systems.

Occasional guest lecturers give participants access to “real world” experience in a
variety of fields, including laser and pulsed light safety, clinical practice, laser/pulsed
light manufacturing, research and clinical trials.

Meikin has been practising since 1984 and has more than 15 years experience in the
fields of laser, pulsed light, health, skin care,
 acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.

She is a recognised expert on the benefits of combining laser and light-based medicine
with acupuncture techniques.

Meikin has a Master of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a Bachelor

of Applied Science degree in acupuncture from the University of Technology Sydney and has undertaken advanced TCM studies in the Guang Zhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China.

She also holds a post-graduate Certificate in Pharmacology and Cosmetic Technology, CIDESCO and ITEC Diplomas in Beauty Therapy and a Diploma in Training and Assessment Systems.

Meikin is:

  • A fellow of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and former Chair of AACMA's NSW State Committee.
  • Deputy Chair of the New South Wales State Committeee of the AACMA.
  • Co-chair of the Australian Association for Laser Therapy (AALT).
  • A member of the World Association for Laser Therapy (WALT), the Australian Traditional Medicine Society and the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
